“Milton Group scammed my grandpa. The firm got 9000 euros back through a court in Bavaria.”
Fake platform via call center“The broker lost its CySEC license. The ICF fund compensated the maximum amount according to the set formula. Special thanks to the Carrara lawyer who guided me through the whole process without surprises.”
CFD: Cypriot ICF fund“My father Sven (71 years old) asked me to write a review because he doesn't use Google himself. He got involved with a fake prop firm, Zenith Yield, they froze a payout of 15000 euros. The lawyers filed a claim with the regulator and after four months the account was unblocked, the money was fully withdrawn to the bank account. My father thanks Ms. Dorigo very much for the work, he says they saved him from a heart attack.”
Prop-trading firm: frozen payouts“The money was my late husband's, saved up year by year, and it was me who carried it to Nobel Trade — the ones with bitcoins that did not exist. My daughter found the lawyers on the internet, I would never have got there alone. They applied for confiscation before a court in Munich. Later 12400 euros and a few cents reached me, out of what was stripped from the fraudsters. At my age I no longer counted on seeing any of it. Thank you.”
Crypto pyramid: criminal asset confiscation“Forty thousand euros went into BitGrail and after the end of sixteen not a cent came back out. For years I kept a folder of printouts, then I wrote to Carrara e Associati. The distinction they explained is simple and I had missed it: what sat on the separate wallet is mine and stays mine, the rest goes into the heap of the insolvency proceedings. That heap is still being argued over before a court in Italy, and I expect it will take years. About 32000 euros came back to me. On the result, nothing to complain of; on response times, yes — weeks could pass before one line of email, and in that silence a man starts doubting everything again. Hence four stars and not five.”
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assets“A fake broker from the Milton Group worked on me for months, telephone calls from Albania, an extremely polite voice. This firm joined a criminal case in Bavaria, and from there came my share of what had been stripped from the fraudsters: 14,500 euros. It took almost two years — long enough that I built a new shed in the garden in the meantime and had stopped thinking about the case at all; the money then covered the materials almost exactly. I take the star off for how long it ran, not for the work. Ms Merlini, your updates were as dry as stale bread, but they came on time, and for that I am grateful.”
Fake platform via call center“The court ordered restitution for the broker's affected clients. Carrara filed the application in the first week after the decision, without delays. I received the compensation in full.”
Forex/CFD: court-ordered restitution“0.9 bitcoin left my wallet while I was asleep, and for days all I did was stare at the screen with no idea who to turn to. A workmate who had been through the same thing sent me here. They identified the exchange the hacker had moved the sum to and got a court to freeze part of what was held there. Around €22,000 worth was recovered; the rest had already been pushed on further and the trail ends there. I know it could have finished at zero, so five stars without hesitating. The house renovation is put off, not cancelled.”
Crypto theft: court-ordered asset freeze“After the Nobel Trade exchange went bust, my assets were on a segregated account, but the exchange still froze everything. This firm's lawyers were able to prove ownership of those segregated assets in court, so they were returned in full (35,000 euros). The other part, which was sitting in a liquidity pool, went into the general insolvency estate, where only 10% was paid out. Overall I got back the larger part of the money thanks to filing the documents quickly.”
